M1 Back on Track

At the end of the 2012 race season we fare-welled our former rider; Sloan Frost.

Although difficult to see Sloan go to Suzuki, we respect, accept and support that decision and we wish Sloan all the best in his future endeavours.

With frantic work occurring behind the scenes we are pleased to announce that Tauranga based Superbike Team M1Motorsport will be on the starting line-up at the Suzuki Series starting in December, on-board the Valvoline Sponsored BMWS1000RR.

Presenting Australian Superbike Rider; Linden Magee, who has had a blinding few seasons since his road racing debut in Australia, 2010.

Joining the 1000cc Pro-Stock class in 2011, with outstanding results for his first year on-board the BMW S1000RR sweeping to victory, taking 2 Australian championships and additionally the Queensland Superbike championship.

In 2012 Linden won the 2012 Australian Prostock Championship.

In the 2013 ASBK’s, Linden finished 3rd in the Superbike privateers championship and in 8th position within the Superbike class overall.

“I am super excited to be given the opportunity by M1 Motorsport to compete in both the Suzuki Series and the New Zealand Superbike championship. This is the first time I’ve been invited to race outside of Australia and I’m really looking forward to racing and working with the very competitive M1 team. I am comfortable on the BMW S1000RR as it’s what I race in Australia and am really looking forward to the challenge of the new tracks. “

To support the team’s new direction and changes this season, we are sporting a fresh look with our brand colours, a revamp of our website and Social Media this season, and on board the BMWS1000RR – keep your eyes peeled!!
